Porn Twitter is once again going through another #MeToo moment and it seems to be affecting a lot of providers. Over the last couple of years female adult actress have taken to social media to tell their side of the story of being mistreated and looked down upon by either certain companies or more often male costars. With the industry unlike any 9-5 we know of things such as W2s, pensions, and trustworthy coworkers aren't an essential as is for a lot of us. With the lines of the professional and amature world of the adult industry getting more and more nonexistent more talent are getting notice for their work, but not so much for being safe and reliable.
This weekend an OF platform account know as HeavenPOV was brought under fire by numerous adult actress. Allegations were said to be everything from harassment to rape and physically abusing his performers all of which are well know actress we know and love. Some of the stars comments can be seen below for clarification of just who this person is and what they've done.
I'm only posting this in EA, because this person running the OF account was brought into the industry through the word of adult actress making anything he said and did verified. This will only make what we do more difficult seeing how word of mouth is how a lot of us get to see providers who need testimonies from others. I'd say references, but even these days that's not enough. The point is, don't be surprise is certain providers need even more information or several trusted sources to confirm your identity. Situations like this tend to make a lot of female providers very closed off and confined for awhile, so all we can do is play the waiting game and hope this dies down.
