STDs are making the rounds, and it seems like they can impact many of us in the hobby. Earlier today, Lana Analise informed the industry, as well as her clients, that she's contracted Mycoplasma genitalium (MGEN).

For those who aren't familiar, Mycoplasma genitalium is a small, not-so-friendly bacterium that loves to hang out on the mucous epithelial cells of the urinary and genital tracts. Just like most STDs, it spreads through unprotected vaginal and anal sex. The main symptoms to watch out for are vaginal or penile discharge, a burning sensation when you pee, an unusual sore, and bleeding after sex. While it does tend to affect women a bit more often, it can definitely impact anyone.

The good news is that this STD isn't too serious, and it can be easily treated with the right medication. But remember, you can't just ignore it and hope it disappears. Treatment is a must.

It's definitely commendable to see Lana opening up about this, and it's not something we often witness from actresses. They usually keep personal matters like this private, which they have the right to. While it may not be the most serious situation, it's a nice gesture on her part to keep us informed. It serves as a reminder that STDs are a real concern in the industry, and it's not something to take lightly. When considering a provider, whether they're in the PS or EC category, it's crucial to ensure they have recent test results if you plan on engaging without protection.

On a positive note, Lana's transparency speaks volumes about her professionalism. A provider who's willing to be upfront about their health status is definitely someone worth considering in my opinion. So, when she recovers from this, don't hesitate to book her!
