Asking for recommendations in L.A.

I’m taking a trip to L.A later in the year and more than likely will be taking my first plunge into the hobby. I would appreciate any possible recommendations any one may have.

Additional information: I have never been to the area before; don’t have any recommendations so I would love to find someone first timer friendly.

Ideally, I would be interested in someone who’s African American, Latina or maybe Asian (I am open on this however).
